My struggles with being overweight began when I was just 29, after our second child. I was living in Seattle, Washington at the time, and my husband was working long hours while I stayed at home with our kids. Despite my best efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I found it difficult having two young children to take care of, and soon the pounds started piling on.
At first, I wasn't too worried about it, after all, I was a young mother in my prime and had always been quite active.
